Dr. Pamela Rutledge is an expert in media psychology--applying psychological science to understand how and why people angage with media. Her research looks at how needs and goals motivate media behaviors and impact. Rutledge writes and speaks on persuasive storytelling and design, audience engagement, fan cutlures, and positive media. Clients include Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox Films, OWN, Saatchi & Saatchi, Vodafone, Children’s Hospital Boston, KCET, and New Leaders Council.  Dr. Rutledge is Director of the Media Psychology Research Center and is professor emeriti at Fielding Graduate University. Dr. Rutledge has published both academic and popular work and speaks internationally..  A blogger for PsychologyToday.com, she is also a frequent expert source for the media on healthy social media use, technology and popular culture, including NY Times, The UK Guardian, BBC4, HuffPost Live, PC World, Seventeen Magazine, San Francisco Chronicle, Good Morning America, ABCnews and USAToday.
